For Immediate Release:
RJM Announces Executive Appointment: Chief Operating Officer — MW Logistics
Dallas Texas — Randall James Monroe, Inc., a Dallas based global executive search consultancy announces the successful completion of the following executive search assignment for:
MW Logistics — Chief Operating Officer
MW Logistics (MWL), a rapidly-growing national third-party logistics company based in Dallas, today announced the appointment of Jared R. Taylor as its new Chief Operating Officer. The appointment marks the launch of the next phase of growth and client service advancement for MWL.
“The key to MWL’s success has been in building a team that is focused on top-notch customer service, accountability and truly working as a team,” said MWL Co-owner Mitchell Ward. “Year-in and year-out, those principles have been the guiding star, and bringing Jared Taylor in is the right next step in this exciting journey.”
Randy Bowman, MWL Co-owner, echoed his partner’s sentiments: “For the last fifteen years, MWL has followed an aggressive but disciplined plan to build and grow a logistics firm that truly stands apart. While innovations like the Asset-Based Platform and proprietary technology infrastructure have been important, they have only worked because of the culture of service instilled through the company’s team members. Jared Taylor not only fits that culture perfectly, but has the leadership skills to help achieve even more growth.”
Mr. Taylor brings nearly a decade and a half of highly successful experience in operations, sales and client account management in the logistics industry. He has led nine-figure sales and operations units and regularly exceeded corporate revenue and profit targets. His most recent post was Vice President of Operations and Inside Sales at Swift Logistics in Phoenix, where he built a multi-million dollar inside sales capability from the ground up. In addition to a strong background in sales and account leadership, Mr. Taylor has strong hands-on experience in operations. He has supervised teams of dozens of over-the-road truck drivers, managed a distribution center for the world’s largest retail chain, and led intermodal terminal operations. Mr. Taylor’s appointment comes at a time of change for the logistics industry. The combination of the recent economic slump, rapid commoditization of logistics services and the ongoing competition for talent has buffeted third-party logistics firms, forcing many to close their doors. Yet that upheaval has provided opportunities for MWL due to the agility provided by its unique business model and deep customer and partner relationships — opportunities Mr. Taylor is expected to help the firm exploit.
Mr. Taylor expressed his excitement to be joining MWL: “Mitchell, Randy and the MW Logistics team have built an incredible reputation of service and success in the industry. As a minority-owned firm, it continues to burst old myths and break new ground, and it is gratifying to have the opportunity to help lead the firm to new levels of success and significance.”
