RJM Announces Executive Appointment: Vice President — Austin Commercial
Dallas Texas — Randall James Monroe, Inc., a Dallas based global executive search consultancy announces the successful completion of the following executive search assignment for:
Austin Commercial – Vice President California Operations
GG.D. “Gus” Soteropulos has joined Austin Commercial as vice president of the company’s operations in California and will be based in the company’s regional office in Los Angeles. He will report to Ralph Ketchum, senior vice president of the Western Region and Aviation.
“My decision to come work at Austin was an easy one,” he said. “The cultural fit of the company and the opportunity to grow the California market were major points toward accepting the job offer.”
Soteropulos brings 30 years of engineering and construction experience to Austin. Twenty of those years were spent in California where he worked as a vice president for Webcor Builders and Swinerton Builders leading each company’s California operations. He has worked on aviation projects for the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport. He has extensive project experience on the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) campus. Federal experience includes projects for the JPL Flight Projects Center in Pasadena, California, and the National Guard Readiness Center in Los Alamitos, California. His varied background also includes private projects such as The Carlyle luxury condominiums, and Woodbury University business and architectural schools.
Soteropulos earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Registered Professional Engineer.
